Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator

Hello! I graduated from the University of Alberta and have practiced as a Registered Dietitian for the past 3 years. Before my current role as a diabetes educator with the OKAKI Virtual Diabetes Clinic, I had worked as a clinical renal dietitian, a community health dietitian on the Blood Tribe Reserve, and an acute care dietitian in rural community hospitals. Through all of these experiences, diabetes management has been my main focus. I am passionate about improving health care accessibility and empowering people to take charge of their diabetes management through realistic goals around nutrition, movement, and medication management. Everybody’s story is different, and the way they manage their health might look different as well. Embracing this is essential in helping people improve their health outcomes. In my spare time you will find me riding my horses up mountains, camping, and spending time with my fiancé and my dog!
